At the light and heavy hydrocarbon production units, atmospheric distillation and cutting of different feeds are performed as well as sweetening and sulfur reduction processes.
In the bitumen production unit, bitumen is extracted from VB. The bitumen product is then brought to the desired parameter along with filling bitumen barrels.
In the storage, unloading, and loading units, the feed and products are stored in the tanks. The unloading operation is performed on the product track, whereas loading is performed from the feed track.
The storage unit has a storage capacity of more than 70,000 tons of various petroleum products.
The barrel manufacturing unit has two production lines with a total capacity of 12,000 barrels per day.
The most important technical difference in the production site of Aftab Oil Refining lies in the production of light and heavy hydrocarbons. In this process, atmospheric distillation and cutting of different feeds are performed as well as sweetening and reduction of sulfur.
In the bitumen production section, bitumen is extracted from the vacuum baton and is then delivered to the desired parameter of the bitumen product along with the process of filling bitumen barrels.
In the storage, unloading, and loading units, the feed and products are stored in metal tanks, and the operation is performed to unload the product track and load from the feed track.
The production capacity of light hydrocarbons is 588 thousand tons, whereas the heavy hydrocarbon production capacity is 360 thousand tons. The bitumen production capacity is 345 thousand tons per year.
Based on the needs of the factory, the sheets are purchased in rolls. After they are shipped to the factory, they are weighed and unloaded in order of arrival date.
The barrel caps are purchased to meet the production needs and are then pressed in the factory by using a punching machine. The barrel tops and bottoms are then selected in accordance with the FIFO roll-in edge and production processes.
The sheets weighing 150 to 180 kg are cut and placed on the welding point machine with a forklift. They are then sealed and strengthened by using a congress machine that enters a new stage called the edge. At this stage, the edge of the barrel should be cut by half a centimeter on both sides. With the waltz, the barrel tops and bottoms are closed. The product enters the paint field in the end, and the depot is made. After transportation, it enters the filling stage.
The production site operates in two separate lines, one of which currently produces 4,500 to 5,000 units per day in two shifts. If the plant needs more units, the second line will start operating. In this case, production will reach 12,000 barrels per day.
