During this visit, Engineer Mohammad Ali Pishahang, Deputy Vice President of Production and Operation of Aftab Oil Refining Company, stated: “There are eleven refineries in the country, of which eight refineries receive their feed through pipelines and transport their products in the same way.”
Stating that these groups do not have any concern about the transfer of their feed and products, he said: “70% of the problems of the Aftab oil refining company are in the field of supply and transportation of feed, marketing and sales, loading and transfer to the wharf.”
In the continuation of this meeting, Mohammad Mirza Babaei, Director of Public Relations and Branding, referring to social responsibilities, stated: “Aftab Oil Refining Company has been able to allocate a higher percentage of its sales to this issue than other similar groups.”

The Public Relations and Branding Director declared that 122 residential units for orphans of the Hormozgan Province Relief Committee were built by Aftab Oil Refining Company last year and said: “114 other residential units for orphans were built by this company this year.”
He clarified: “700 orphans of this province are supported by Aftab Oil Refining Company, half of them are covered by the company’s employees.”

The Regional Director of Aftab Oil Refining Company added: “A development project with a capacity of 22,500 barrels will be exploited in the first half of next year.”
Amin said: “The main difference between this refinery and other groups is that it is fighting for the supply of feed, and its feed is transported through tankers and ships.”
Stating that in some cases, this refinery was closed due to lack of feed, he said: “Despite all these problems, Aftab Oil Refining Company did not only retrench but also attracted numerous young workers this year through holding tests.”
The Regional Director of Aftab Oil Refining Company stated that the main problem of this group is the lack of a pipeline to supply and transfer feed and added: “The parliament should support the capable private sector.”
Engineer Matyar Meraati Moghadam, civil affairs manager of Aftab Oil Refining Company, following the visit of the Secretary of the Oil Refining Industry Employers’ Association and a member of the Islamic Parliament to Aftab Oil Refinery, noted that there is a directive regarding fuel smuggling, which has caused many problems for the groups.
He said: According to this directive, fuel is not allocated to hydrocarbon units, and that group must use its production, while according to the approval of the Cabinet of Ministers, the government is obliged to deliver subsidized fuel to industrial units that do not have access to the gas network.
Engineer Matyar Meraati Moghadam said: “Since Aftab Oil Refining Company does not benefit from the gas network and we are known as a hydrocarbon group, we must use our products.”
He continued: “This is even though with the consumption of our products at the end of every year, 2% of the product will be diminished, which the tax administration considers as smuggled fuel, and it means a loss on both sides for our group.”
