On the sidelines of the opening ceremony of the Aftab Skill Training Center, Engineer Mohammad Mehdi Doosti stated that the employment of highly skilled people is one of the main concerns of industrial activists and declared: “In addition to the high unemployment rate in the society, the existence of the workforce required by industrial units is also considered a fundamental problem.”
The CEO of Aftab Oil Refining Company named skill training as the fundamental way to reduce the unemployment rate and provide people for industrial units and continued: “Instead of skill training, people are taught more theoretical topics in the university, which this cannot provide the required workforce for industrial units.”
He mentioned two gold and silver medals won by the welders of Aftab Oil Refining Company in the national competition of Iranian workers and stated: “This shows the skill training and its importance in this group.”
Engineer Doosti pointed out that the opening of the Aftab Skill Training Center can solve the problem of the skilled workforce of this group, added: “On the other hand, this center can put the right path in front of young people and job seekers and hence, they can become skilled persons in a short time.”
Referring to charitable activities and social responsibilities of Aftab Oil Refining Company, he said: “Currently, two schools have been built and exploited in Rodan and Minab cities, and the largest school in Hormozgan, constructed by this company, will be put into operation soon.”
The CEO of Aftab Oil Refining Company noted: “During the past year, this company has built and delivered 122 residential units for orphans and now has 114 new units under construction, which will be put into operation by next year.”
Declaring that we must work hand in hand to develop Iran, Engineer Doosti said: “We can build our country with skill training, diligence, effort, and perseverance, and no one from outside the country can stop us and block our progress.”
Winning Two Gold and Silver Medals in the National Competition of Iranian Workers by the Personnel of Aftab Oil Refining Company
In the continuation of this ceremony, the Director General of Technical and Vocational Hormozgan, referring to the master national plan of skill training, said: “In the past months, in cooperation with the Aftab Oil Refining Company, to meet the needs of young job seekers and applicants for employment in the industries, the Aftab Skill Training Center was established in Bandar Abbas.”
Reza Alizadeh noted that in this workshop, specialized training courses on precision instruments, repair of valves and industrial pumps, and industrial electricity are held, added: “Repairing valves and industrial pumps is one of the expensive and heavy disciplines in equipment and training field, which Aftab Oil Refining Company agreed to allocate a certain amount annually for this purpose.”
He continued: “Aftab skill training workshop can become a special training workshop for trainers in the country, which will be feasible if the country’s authorities agree.”
Hormozgan Technical and Vocational Director General pointed to the holding of the first national competition of Iranian workers and continued: “Two welders of Aftab Oil Refining Company have succeeded in winning a gold medal in the field of argon welding and a silver medal in steel structure welding.”
Awarding of Technical and Vocational Type A License to Aftab Oil Refining Company
The Vice President of the Technical and Vocational Organization of the country further stated that the government has committed to creating one million jobs annually and mentioned: “The employment of the country is through skill training.”
Mohammadreza Shahpasand emphasized that the government gives its try to skill training and added: “The chain of skill training should be formed in Hormozgan. The first link was created by Engineer Doosti using the establishment of the Aftab skill training center.”
Stating that 57% of people who refer to technical and vocational courses get employment, he clarified: “Work applicants can order the training course they need.”
The Vice-President of Education of the Technical and Vocational Organization of the country added: “Technologies are constantly developing and evolving, so we need skill recovery and retraining to create job stability.”
He continued: “Aftab Oil Refining Company has succeeded in receiving the A-type Open School License, which is one of the highest types of licenses in the country that the Technical and Vocational Organization of the country gives to the country’s prestigious brands and industries.”
The Educational Assistant of the Technical and Vocational Organization of the country added: “In this type of license, all the powers of the Technical and Vocational Organization of the country are delegated to that brand and industry.”
